On 30 November, the YERUN Policy Platform (YPP) met on-line and in-person, at the YERUN Brussels premises. The YPP is a YERUN body composed of vice-rectors, policy advisors and officers from the YERUN members universities, that work closely with the YERUN office to advance the network’s advocacy activity in R&I and education policies.
The YPP met in the morning with Dr. Theresia Feldmann, research attaché from Belgian Permanent Representation to the EU, who presented the upcoming priorities for R&I of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU (1 January – 30 June 2024), and with Sergej Možina, counsellor for research at Permanent Representation of Slovenia to the EU and co-chair of the ERA Forum to discuss the state of play of the current and future ERA Policy Agendas.
In the afternoon, the YERUN Policy Platform delved into FP10 and its next framework with Massimiliano Esposito, Head of the Common Strategic Planning and Programme Service Unit in DG RTD, European Commission, who presented the next steps in the definition of FP10.
