The University of Bremen kindly hosted the YERUN General Assembly meeting, on 16 March. YERUN members had on the agenda important decisions to take as regards our commitment towards Open Science and the creation of the European Education Area and the future European Universities Networks.
The 5 chairs of the YERUN Working Groups (EU Policy, Open Science, Joint Programmes, Research Mobility and Employability) updated the members and proposed the directions for the future activities of the network.
Previously, from March 13 to 15, 2018, the YERUN Staff Training for employees of the participating universities took place at the University of Bremen. The theme was Entrepreneurship and Employability. More than 20 participants from the YERUN network discussed what “employability” means for young research universities and considered how they can support graduates in their transition to professional practice. Participants included various career services and representatives of specialist departments and administrations from the members institutions with examples and projects presented from Bremen University, Autonoma de Madrid, Essex, and Maastricht.
