Join students from across YERUN for the online AI tutoring hackathon – AI in Education and You: Hack the Future of Tutoring. In 24 hours, you’ll explore how AI can make tutoring more personal, engaging, and inclusive. No prior AI experience is needed, just curiosity and fresh ideas!
This November, YERUN’s online AI tutoring hackathon is bringing together students from across its network for a creative challenge. Together, we will explore how AI can reimagine tutoring and improve learning experiences. Over the course of 24 hours, participants will work in international teams. They will share ideas, experiment with AI tools, and design solutions that adapt to individual learning needs. These solutions aim to make education more engaging, inclusive, and effective.
Guided by the Design Thinking process, teams will:
- Empathise, reflecting on the challenges of traditional tutoring
- Discover ways AI can personalise the learning experience
- Define and refine the most important features of their ideas
- Ideate, brainstorming how AI tools can be integrated to meet specific learning needsand enhance tutoring outcomes
- Prototype, configuring a prototype of an AI-powered tutoring solution and analysinghow to actually implement it.
Throughout the hackathon, you’ll join expert-led webinars, receive mentorship from AI and education specialists, and access technical resources to bring your ideas to life.
The event is open to Master’s students from YERUN universities, with a limited number of places for selected Bachelor students.
At the end of the hackathon, a panel of experts will review all proposals. The winning team will advance to the European-level selection, and *all participants will receive a micro-credential (subject to each university’s decision) recognising their contribution to AI-driven tutoring innovation.
