As YERUN – Young European Research Universities Network – approaches its 10th anniversary, we are excited to mark this significant milestone with a special initiative. To celebrate a decade of fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in European research, education, and innovation, we are inviting students from our member universities to design a dedicated version of the YERUN logo.
YERUN, founded in 2015, is a dynamic network of European Young Research Universities with an office in Brussels. The network is the representative of the Young European Research Universities in Europe. It highlights and actively promotes the distinctive contribution of young research universities, facilitates the engagement of YERUN member universities in working together and contributing to European policies in education, research and innovation. The current strategy follows priorities on three key pillars: Talent development, an Open culture of excellence, and Responsible and engaged institutions.

Themes of the 10th Anniversary: Our anniversary theme focuses on reinforcing our identity as young research universities, celebrating our spirit of collaboration and innovation, and emphasising our commitment to openness and impact.
Design Guidelines:
- The logo should be original and visually appealing, maintaining the core elements of the existing YERUN logo (Plusquam Sans font, colors, size).
- It should reflect YERUN’s mission, values, and the themes of the 10th anniversary.
- Submissions must be in vector format (AI, EPS, or SVG) and PNG, in color, black, and white, accompanied by a brief explanation of the design concept.
- Each participant may submit one logo, either individually or as a team.
Prizes:
- A monetary prize of €500.
- An invitation to the YERUN 10th Anniversary Conference in Brussels in June 2025, with travel and accommodation covered.
How to Participate: Submit your design along with your name, university affiliation, and contact information to info@yerun.eu. Use the subject line “Project Logo YERUN 10th Anniversary_[Your Name]”. The deadline for submissions is 20 September 2024.
