The University of Bremen’s Academy of Continuing Education is the central point of contact for anyone interested in receiving further training, be they working people, jobseekers, people returning to work, or senior citizens. The academy’s diverse range of programs gives people the opportunity to acquire skills at an academic level, regardless of whether they have a university degree.
Nowadays, universities are called upon to provide opportunities for gaining qualifications that suit every phase of life – even beyond the traditional bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. In the knowledge society, learning and education are among the most valuable resources. Due to technological and societal changes, it is particularly important for highly qualified people to continue their training throughout their working lives.
The University of Bremen therefore sees itself as a place of lifelong learning. With a wide range of flexible further training opportunities, prospective students can choose an education pathway that suits their professional and personal situation. Short- or long-term continuing education courses are aimed at employed people with and without a university degree, as well as university graduates looking for work, people returning to work, and people with a migrant background.
