“Horizon Europe”, the European Union’s new framework programme for research and innovation, was launched at the beginning of the year. The first work programmes will be published in April. On 24 March 2021, the State of Bremen, together with the University of Bremen and the U Bremen Research Alliance, invites to a kick-off event. Registrations are open until 19 March 2021.
Dr Claudia Schilling, Senator for Science and Ports and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bernd Scholz Reiter, President of the University of Bremen, Chairman of the U Bremen Research Alliance and YERUN President, will welcome the participants.
The core of the event will be three 45-minute presentations by experts from the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KoWi). They will provide information on the wide range of funding opportunities, give insights into the structure and political framework of Horizon Europe and answer questions. Finally, Prof. Dr. Jutta Günther, Vice President Research at the University of Bremen, will sum up the contributions.
The event, held in German, is aimed at researchers from all disciplines, interested parties from companies and from application management. Guests from other federal states and YERUN partners are also welcome. The co-host is the U Bremen Research Alliance, in which twelve institutes of federal and state-funded non-university research and the University of Bremen cooperate. The kick-off event will take place on 24 March 2021 from 10:00 to 13:00 via the Zoom video conferencing system.
