The YERUN Network Grows: Welcome, University of Bath!

YERUN – Young European Research Universities Network – is thrilled to announce that the University of Bath (United Kingdom) is now officially a YERUN member. A leading young, comprehensive university, Bath shares YERUN’s commitment to excellence in research and education, alongside a strong focus on societal impact. Its interdisciplinary research strengths, particularly in Sustainability, Health & Wellbeing, and Digital Research with Impact, reflect a shared ambition to address complex global challenges. The university’s close engagement with its local and regional environment mirrors YERUN’s emphasis on the civic mission of young research universities in strengthening regional and European innovation ecosystems. By joining YERUN, the University of Bath builds on existing collaborations within the network and contributes to YERUN’s collective efforts in research, education, and innovation.

We closed the year with the UK’s return to Erasmus+ and began 2026 by welcoming the University of Bath to YERUN, further strengthening our representation in the UK. Bath brings a strong and highly complementary profile to the network, with recognised strengths in research excellence, education, and civic engagement. Its existing links with several YERUN members provide a solid foundation for collaboration, and we look forward to the perspectives and expertise that Bath will contribute to YERUN’s activities and shared priorities.
