The European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation Event, the European Research and Innovation Days, will take place from 28 to 29 September online.
This year’s online event will bring together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
YERUN Policy Officer, Chiara Colella, will represent our organisation in a session dedicated to “Youth at the heart of the green transition” taking place on 29 September from 14:00 to 14:45. She will present the paper “Education for a more sustainable world: what can we learn from young European research universities?” released by YERUN last June and engage in discussions with other panellists, in a panel moderated by DG EAC Director Sophia Eriksson Waterschoot.
This paper, the result of the work of the past years of the YERUN ad hoc group on SDGs, provides concrete examples of how the recommendation ‘Learning for the Green Transition and Sustainable Development” adopted by the Council, translate in reality.
