On 9 and 10 November 2021, the University of Essex will hold the YERUN Staff Days, an event that will be dedicated to identifying a common approach to foster research collaborations across the YERUN network.
The event will be an occasion for representatives of the 19 Research Support Offices at YERUN institutions to meet each other, share expertise and good practice with the aim to develop a common strategy that increases the research collaboration opportunities across the network and eventually leads to increased research income.
Held virtually, the event will create an immersive and truly collaborative experience enabling colleagues across the YERUN network to connect meaningfully with one another.
Different types of workshops will be organised in order to make the most out of the discussions by at the same time keeping an interactive and fun atmosphere! Colleagues from all YERUN universities will engage in the discussions and share their thoughts and reflections to:
- Identify the key objectives and desired outcomes that will contribute to an effective support structure with the aim to increase research collaborations across the network.
- Plan key activities to take place over the coming year working towards the identified objectives and outcomes.

Participation is upon invitation. In order to engage with as many participants as possible, we will be welcoming 1-2 participants max. per YERUN institution. Colleagues who are focused on supporting EU/international research collaboration are particularly welcome to attend and we aim to have all YERUN universities represented at the event to make the most of this opportunity.
