The University of Antwerp organised the first edition of the YERUN Sport Days from 26 to 28 April, in Antwerp. The aim was to develop international interactions and experience between students, with an emphasis on Fair Play and Universal Friendship. Ten YERUN teams participated and 116 student athletes and officials from our members were accredited.
Our participating members were:
- University of Essex participated with a men’s basketball team;
- University of Rome Tor Vergata participated with men’s and women’s volleyball teams, men’s and women’s basketball teams and a men’s futsal team.
- University of Antwerp participated with a men’s futsal team, a women’s a volleyball team and a men’s volleyball team.
- University Paris Dauphine participated with a men’s futsal team.
YERUN members won the men’s basketball competition (University of Essex), the men’s futsal competition (University of Antwerp) and both volleyball competitions and the women’s basketball competition (University of Tor Vergata).
In addition, a workshop on cooperation among the YERUN members’ sport offices was organised in order to boost more activities and share experiences.
