DCU organised 2nd YERUN Research Workshop on Migration & Integration

The second research workshop, supported by YERUN, took place on 25th & 26th June, at Dublin City University. This workshop was hosted by the the School of Applied Lanuage and Intercultural Studies at Dublin City University.  The workshop builds on the expertise of individual YERUN member universities in researching the social, political & legal aspects of migration & integration, plus the experience of universities in seeking to assist migrant students access education.

Following presentations by each attendee about their respect research expertise and backgrounds, attendees worked together to identify common area of interest and possible lines for collaboration. Areas included intercultural relationships, discrimination & racism, and the inter-generational aspect of migration.
With a view to available collaborative funding mechanisms, the group worked to develop future potential areas where collaborative activities in research, education & outreach could be developed.
